Old and new, with more history and culture than anywhere else in the Americas, I spent the weekend in Mexico City (the world's largest city) recently and was pleasantly surprised. When I thought of Mexico City (MC), I expected the history and culture, the colorful surroundings and rich traditions but what I didn't expect, and was enchanted by, was the sophistication, the modern green living, and the high level of luxury so easily found here. For travelers looking for more than a beach vacation'and to get the most out of their dollar, MC is a perfect choice for a short weekend getaway.
